When a Child Dies

LET FAMILIES KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALONE

ABOUT THE GUIDE

Funeral Service Foundation recognizes that you are caring for the heart and soul of a family when you bring a child into your care. No words or actions can take away the family’s pain, and funeral professionals often say, “The death of a child never gets easier.”

We are here to support you and the families you serve. The Funeral Service Foundation’s latest community care resource, When a Child Dies: Planning Acts of Love & Legacyoffers guidance and inspiration to help families say goodbye.

The Funeral Service Foundation funded the guide and created it in partnership with the Collaborative of Pediatric Palliative Care Coalitions, and with assistance from NFDA. Dozens of bereaved parents, along with healthcare and bereavement professionals, also offered their expertise in creating this piece.
