5 Scholarships available to CANA convention and 10 Scholarships are available to NFDMA convention; application closes for both on June 12

Brookfield, Wis. – Underscoring its commitment to professional development for funeral service professionals and students, the Funeral Service Foundation is now accepting applications for CANA’s 106th Cremation Innovation Convention and NFDMA’s 2024 Annual Convention.

Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation is honored to offer 5 scholarships to the annual CANA convention, held this year in Chicago, IL from September 11-13, and 10 scholarships to the NFDMA Annual Convention and Exposition, held this year in National Harbor, Maryland from August 3 – 7.

Scholarship Information: Valued at $2,200, the 5 CANA scholarships and 10 NFDMA scholarships will each cover full convention registration fees, three nights of lodging, and up to $500 in travel reimbursement.

Using a common application format, all scholarship candidates are required to answer five questions in no more than 250 words per question, and submit a brief video, no longer than two minutes. Late applications are not accepted. The deadline to apply for both scholarships is Wednesday, June 12 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. All applicants will be notified of their status by early July.

CANA Application Eligibility: Applications are open to licensed funeral directors, morticians, embalmers, and students of funeral service who are enrolled and actively taking coursework in ABFSE- or Canadian-accredited funeral service, as well as crematory operators and cemeterians.
