NFDA CONVENTION & EXPO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HOSPICE AND END-OF-LIFE PROFESSIONALS
The Funeral Service Foundation is offering scholarships for hospice and grief and bereavement professionals to attend the NFDA International Convention & Expo. The NFDA Convention is the largest of its kind in the world, and brings together thousands of funeral service professionals for the best in networking, education and the world’s largest funeral service Expo.
Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded to attend the NFDA International Convention & Expo in Chicago, October 27-30, 2019. Scholarships cover registration fees, and admittance to the Funeral Service Foundation’s Donor Appreciation Event, Foundation Navigation. (Additional fees may apply for other events.)
Scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, religious beliefs, age, national origin, or disability.
Scholarships are not renewable or transferrable, and a candidate may only receive this award once.
Registration fees will be paid directly by the Funeral Service Foundation; no funds will be dispersed to the recipient.
If unable to attend designated scholarship events, the scholarship recipient will forfeit his or her scholarship for that year, but may apply in subsequent years, if available.
All scholarships are subject to available funds.
All award decisions of the Funeral Service Foundation are final.
Alternates may be selected in the event that a scholarship recipient decides not to accept the award.
Only completed applications will be considered. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
The Funeral Service Foundation reserves the right to eliminate from consideration incomplete applications without further notice to the applicant.
Each candidate is required to submit a 750-word essay.
Scholarship submissions to attend the NFDA International Convention & Expo in Chicago, October 27-30, 2019 will be accepted through September 30, 2019. Winners will be notified via phone call in mid-September.
