About Brenda Renee Horn
A bright, talented, and driven young woman, Brenda was accepted for early admission at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles based on her 10th grade high school record. At the time of her death, at the age of 17, she was in the process of applying for early admission to the Loyola Law School. Her energy and drive will always be remembered by those who loved her.
In 2011, after Service Corporation International (SCI) acquired Keystone, the Key Memories Scholarship was renamed the Brenda Renee Horn Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of the daughter of Bob Horn, one of funeral service’s finest.
This $3,000 scholarship, offered in partnership between the SCI National Scholarship Program and the Funeral Service Foundation, is awarded to a promising mortuary science student enrolled in an accredited mortuary science program.
